Toledo's Owens Corning reported a third-quarter loss this week of $267 million, compared with a profit of $94 million for the same period a year ago, after taking a $538 million charge related to its bankruptcy proceedings.
The building products firm said it had record sales for the quarter of $1.6 billion, up 5 percent from $1.5 billion for the period a year ago.
