City man who molested 2 girls receives 4 years

A North Toledo man who entered into a plea agreement in Lucas County Common Pleas Court for molesting two young girls was sentenced yesterday to four years in prison.

Robert Jenkins, 51, who on Oct. 17 pleaded no contest to and was found guilty of four counts of gross sexual imposition, was sentenced by Judge James Jensen.

Jenkins, of 34 East Crawford Ave., was indicted on six counts of rape and one count gross sexual imposition for sexual acts on the victims when they were 5 and 8 years old.

Judge Jensen determined that the defendant is a sexually oriented offender, which means that he must register annually with the county sheriff for 10 years after his release from prison.
