The Lagrange Development Corp. and some North Toledo residents yesterday sued the city of Toledo in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to stop the owner of a gas station from converting the business into a convenience store.
The community group and five residents filed two lawsuits over City Council s decision last month to approve a special use permit for 3504 Lagrange St. The complaints were filed against the city and the commissioner of building inspection.
Judge Frederick McDonald granted a request from the plaintiffs asking for a temporary restraining order, putting the special-use permit on hold until a hearing can be held.
