Toledo woman charged with portraying police

A 43-year-old woman whom Toledo police charged with impersonating a police officer is scheduled to appear in Toledo Municipal Court this morning, a spokesman at the Lucas County jail said yesterday.

Holly Rath of 5536 Cresthaven Lane was released Saturday but was expected in court at 9 a.m. to answer to the charges. Police filed an arrest warrant against Ms. Rath on Thursday.

Ms. Rath is accused of following a Toledo teenager back to his house and asking him to take a Breathalyzer test after she said she was almost involved in an accident with the teen on Wednesday.

Police said Ms. Rath also frisked the teen, searched his vehicle, and wrote down his name, birthdate, and Social Security number.
