Accused arsonist pleads guilty in Van Wert

VAN WERT, Ohio A Lima, Ohio, man pleaded guilty yesterday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court to a charge of aggravated arson for setting fire to a mobile home that police say was used as a methamphetamine lab.

Judge Charles Steele set sentencing for June 7 for Andrew M. Black, 18.

Van Wert police say Black on Jan. 30 set fire to the mobile home that was used to manufacture the illegal drug. Two adults had been arrested and charged with possessing materials to manufacture the drug.
