Signs, signs, seemingly everywhere the signs talking about Toledo, a community with pride.
Mayor Carty Finkbeiner announced yesterday that work has begun to install new welcome signs at 52 gateway entrances and other locations throughout the city.
Welcome to Toledo, A Community With Pride is the message on the signs, which are being placed at such border locations as eastbound Airport Highway at Holland-Sylvania Road in the west, northbound Detroit Avenue in the south, Jackman Road southbound from Michigan in the north, and on westbound Woodville Road in the east.
Toledo pride is growing rapidly. These signs will extend the feeling of pride to our visitors and welcome Toledoans back home, the mayor said in a news release announcing the signs.
