Northwest Ohio union members plan to celebrate Labor Day with their annual parade in downtown Toledo. This year s theme is the union fight for economic justice.
The parade is set to begin at 9 a.m. Monday from Monroe and Summit streets. Marchers will continue along Summit to Adams Street, then to Huron Street, and back up to Monroe.
Ron Coughenour, who has an extensive background with local unions and has served on a number of community boards, will be the grand marshal.
Mr. Coughenour has held various positions with the Toledo area AFL-CIO, Branch 100 of the National Association of Letter Carriers, and the Toledo Port Council.
