SANDUSKY Cedar Fair LP said yesterday it is spending $83 million on capital improvements for next season at its 12 amusement parks and six water parks.
Included is $21 million for a new roller coaster, called Maverick, at its flagship Cedar Point park in Sandusky.
The company also will spend $11 million to expand the water park at its newly acquired Kings Dominion amusement park in Virginia and $10 million and $8 million for new thrill rides at its Kings Island park near Cincinnati and Knott s Berry Farm in Los Angeles, respectively. Neither ride has been announced.
