A North Toledo man accused of breaking into a woman s home and raping her was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury.
Rico Reed, 25, of 313 East Park St. was indicted on one count each of rape, gross sexual imposition, and aggravated burglary. He is being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $200,000 bond.
Authorities said the 22-year-old victim was loading items into her car in the 300 block of East Streicher Street on May 6 when a man she recognized from her neighborhood approached and asked her if a male friend of hers was there.
When the woman said no, the suspect walked into the house uninvited, forced her to the floor, and raped her. Mr. Reed was arrested at his home a few hours later, police said.
