Clyde man, 37, to serve 4 years for rape attempt

FREMONT A 37-year-old man was sentenced to four years in prison yesterday after pleading guilty in Sandusky County Common Pleas Court to one count of attempted rape.

Dennis Scriver of Clyde, Ohio, also will serve another six months in prison on one count of domestic violence stemming from a Jan. 15 incident at his Arch Street home.

Judge Harry Sargeant sentenced Scriver shortly after he pleaded guilty to the two reduced charges. The judge also labeled Scriver a sexually oriented offender.

Scriver s original indictment included four counts of kidnapping, two counts of rape, and the domestic violence charge.
