AboutGolf, a $9 million a year business in Maumee, has been named to the Inc. magazine newest list of the 500 fastest growing companies nationwide because of its 935 percent growth in revenues over three years.
The firm, founded in 2003 and with 21 employees, ranked No. 252. It makes indoor golf simulators and swing-analysis equipment. Demand from stores, which use the equipment to give lessons, and from indoor golf centers in the United States and abroad have spurred the growth, the magazine said.
In the also-ran category, the Douglas Co. of Holland said it was ranked No. 1,087 by the magazine because of its 329 percent revenue growth over the past three years to $86.5 million last year. The firm, with 65 workers, was founded in 1976.
