18,700 Ecstasy pills seized at bus station; man held

A Jackson, Miss. man was arraigned yesterday in Toledo Municipal Court on felony drug charges after authorities seized 18,700 Ecstasy pills from him at the Greyhound Bus Station in downtown Toledo home, authorities said.

Mario Anton Jones, 26, was charged with two counts each of possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs. He was being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Toledo Metro Drug Task Force officials arrested Mr. Jones about 4:45 p.m. Thursday after seizing the pills estimated to be worth about $374,000, authorities said.

Authorities said the drugs were being transported from Toledo to Jackson, Miss.

It was one of the city's largest seizures of Ecstasy, authorities said.
