Man pleads guilty, receives 3 years for Rossford robbery

BOWLING GREEN - An Alabama man charged with robbing a Rossford convenience store at knifepoint pleaded guilty yesterday to felonious assault.

Garry Cordell, 39, was sentenced by Wood County Common Pleas Judge Alan Mayberry to three years in prison.

As part of the plea agreement, an aggravated robbery charge was dismissed.

Cordell threatened a clerk at the Sterling Food Store, 3231 Superior St., on April 4, 2001, and ordered her to open the cash register.
