The Toledo-Lucas County Memorial Day Association Parade is at 10 a.m. today, starting at Monroe and North Summit streets in downtown Toledo. The parade will proceed north on Summit to Jackson Street, turn west on Jackson, and continue to the intersection of Jackson, North Michigan Street, and Spielbusch Avenue, next to the Civic Center Mall, where a Memorial Day service will begin about 15 minutes after the parade.

Activities include a Civil War encampment at the community park with battle reenactments at 3 p.m. today and 2 p.m. tomorrow. A parade and a service will follow the battle tomorrow. The activities honor Lance Cpl. Jeremy Shock, who was killed in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2006.
