Dana to pay $125.6M to settle EPA claims
NEW YORK Toledo vehicle-frame maker Dana Holding Corp. will pay $125.6 million to settle environmental cleanup claims by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the top federal prosecutor in New York City said yesterday.
U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia said the money will be used to clean up sites in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Nebraska.
The EPA alleged that Dana and 40 affiliated companies owed about $420 million for work at six sites.
