Perrysburg restaurateur facing 2 new charges

BOWLING GREEN A Perrysburg restaurateur who pleaded guilty to failing to remit sales tax has been indicted on two new charges of workers' compensation fraud.

A Wood County grand jury this week indicted Christopher Frick, 40, on the two felony counts. He is to be arraigned Sept. 2 by Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Pollex.

The indictment accuses Frick of failing to secure or maintain workers' compensation coverage at his business, Mr. Beefy's American Roadhouse, between July 1, 2006, and Dec. 31, 2006, and between Jan. 1, 2007, and June 30, 2007.

Frick pleaded guilty last month to a failure to remit sales tax from Mr. Beefy's. He is to be sentenced Sept. 23.
