Two local start-ups get Rocket Ventures grants

Two northwest Ohio start-up companies have been awarded grants totaling $92,000 from Toledo s Regional Growth Partnership.

CeutiCare, which has developed software for managing patients medications, got $42,000. Esclapeus Biopharmacueticals, a firm founded at the University of Toledo to develop a drug for treating obesity, got $50,000.

Both grants were made under the Ignite! program of Rocket Ventures, a venture capital fund formed by the partnership to provide financing to early-stage companies.
