Free fingerprinting and smoke detectors at fire museum today

Fire trucks for kids to explore, fire-safety information, and free smoke detectors will be offered during the Toledo Fire Department's Fireman Freddie Day today at the Toledo Firefighters Museum, 918 West Sylvania Ave.

Hot dogs and popcorn will be available, and the Toledo Police Department will offer parents free fingerprinting for their children to assist in any future lost-child identification.

The event runs from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
