Toledo announces final 08 Model Block location

The sixth and final location for Toledo s 2008 Model Block campaign will be the area bounded by Front, Consaul, Woodford, and Craig streets, the Finkbeiner administration announced yesterday.

So far this year, the Toledo Department of Public Service, city police, local community development agencies, and Model Block volunteers have removed more than 146,500 pounds (nearly 75 tons) of debris from city streets under the program and undertaken other efforts to improve neighborhood quality of life. Other program elements include hazardous-waste disposal, street repairs, and sign and traffic signal improvement.
