Fire lieutenant awarded security studies degree

Toledo fire Lt. Cheryl Hill has received her master s degree in homeland security studies from the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security, Monterey, Calif.

The Center for Homeland Defense and Security offers the first master s degree program for homeland security in the country and graduates 90 senior officials a year.

Lieutenant Hill serves as the Regional Medical Response System coordinator for northwest Ohio Homeland Security Planning Region 1 out of the Toledo Fire Department s Bureau of Special Operations.
