Businessman selected for philanthropist award

Local businessman Jim Findlay will be given the Outstanding Individual Philanthropist Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Northwest Ohio Chapter during the 2008 National Philanthropy Day luncheon on Thursday.

Mr. Findlay, founder of Impact Products Inc., Sylvania Township, is being honored for his support and involvement with local nonprofit organizations.

The luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. in the Franciscan Center at Lourdes College in Sylvania.

Rita Mansour, the David C. & Lura M. Lovell Foundation, Brooke Johnson, and the Bowling Green Sentinel-Tribune also will be recognized.
