Cherry Street Mission Ministries has expanded its annual Thanksgiving dinner program, serving food to the needy at four locations on Thanksgiving.
About 400 volunteers will serve 1,100 meals Thursday at the following locations:
•Macomber Cafe, 1501 Monroe St.
•Good Samaritan Outreach Center, 1108 Broadway.
•Sparrow's Nest, 436 West Delaware Ave.
•Helping Hands of St. Louis, 443 Sixth St.
Cherry Street Mission Ministries also will serve breakfast on Thursday at these two locations:
•Madison Street Food Services and Community Center, 1919 Madison Ave., 7:30 a.m.
•Good Samaritan Outreach Center, 1108 Broadway, 8:30 a.m.
Other Thanksgiving dinners and pre-Thanksgiving dinners throughout the city include:
•St. James Lutheran Church, 4727 West Sylvania Ave., 5 to 7 p.m. tomorrow.
•Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 2001 Ashland Ave., 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
•Martin Luther King Center Kitchen for the Poor, 650 Vance St., noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
•Pilgrim Church, 1375 West Sylvania Ave., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
•Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.
