Getaway driver in Tiffin robbery gets 10 years

TIFFIN - A Clyde, Ohio, woman who drove the getaway vehicle after the Medicine Shoppe pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint in June has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Andrea D. Ford, 24, was sentenced last week by Seneca County Common Pleas Judge Steve Shuff after her guilty pleas to complicity to aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence, aggravated trafficking in OxyContin, aggravated possession of OxyContin, receiving stolen property, and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.

Ford drove the getaway car June 23 after the pharmacy was robbed and also was involved with a group selling OxyContin, a prescription painkiller, in Clyde and Tiffin.

William T. Perkins, Jr., is to go on trial Dec. 15 for the pharmacy robbery.
