Three men were arrested Wednesday and charged with felony burglary after they fled a suspicious Toledo police detective who spotted them in a vehicle in a driveway at 1650 North Cove Blvd.
Detective Timothy Kaminski followed the white Chevy Lumina to 1536 Milburn Ave. and summoned assistance from field operations, the gang unit, and other detectives.
While serving a search warrant, officers found five suspects inside who were taken to the Safety Building for questioning, where it was learned that Detective Kaminski had interrupted a burglary at the North Cove address. A handgun and property were recovered from the Lumina, authorities said.
Placed under arrest were Dominique Phillips, 18, of 1506 Hoag St.; Terrell Anderson, 24, of 1704 Ottawa Drive, and Anthony Smith, 22, of 2221 Auburn Ave.
Police released a juvenile and a woman after questioning.
