Robber shot, killed in Indianapolis store

INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis police say a grocery store employee shot and killed a robber who pointed a gun at a woman with a baby.

Sgt. Matthew Mount said the robber was shot after he forced the customers into one part of the store on the city's northwest side Sunday night.

The suspect was critically injured when police arrived. He was taken to Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect has not been identified.

Police will turn over results of their investigation to the Marion County prosecutor.
