A veteran Toledo police officer was charged Friday with two counts of sexual imposition after he was accused of inappropriately touching four female victims before arresting them, authorities said.
Officer Christopher McQueen, 42, who was appointed to the department in 1993, will be issued a summons to appear in Toledo Municipal Court on the charges.
Authorities alleged that Mr. McQueen, during at least one incident, touched a woman s nipple before arresting her. In another incident, Mr. McQueen is accused of touching a woman s genitals during a search, Chief Mike Navarre said. The incidents occurred in June and August last year.
Mr. McQueen voluntarily took himself of the department s payroll Sept. 5, 2008, when he was questioned by internal affairs investigators about the incident. He still currently is a member of the Toledo police department, but is not receiving a salary or benefits, Chief Navarre said.
