Summit Street will be closed for about nine hours today at the Craig Memorial Bridge during overhead demolition, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced.
Summit will close at 7 a.m. The former ramp bridge from the Craig to northbound Summit is to be torn down.
Through traffic will be detoured at Bush and Galena streets and directed to Greenbelt Parkway until Summit s reopening, scheduled for 4 p.m.
Access between the Craig bridge and Summit will be maintained, but only to traffic headed to or from downtown Toledo. Motorists from the North End will be directed toI-280 at Greenbelt Parkway.
The work is part of the conversion of the Craig bridge s west end from an interchange to an intersection with Summit.
