A 27-year-old woman was pistol-whipped Friday by a man who followed her out of an East Toledo bar, police said.
Renee Hammons was in fair condition Friday in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, a hospital official said.
A man pushed Ms. Hammons from behind and pressed a gun to her face about 12:30 a.m. Friday as she left the Ship & Shore Night Club at 2660 Consaul St., police said.
The man then pistol-whipped Ms. Hammons, stomped on her chest, and kicked her before walking away. Ms. Hammons crawled to her car, went home, and then drove to the hospital, a report said.
Ms. Hammons told police that a man in the bar had been harassing her most of the night.
