Saturday expected to be snow-filled for area

An Alberta Clipper low pressure system will move just north of the area Saturday.

Snow will spread into the area after sunrise Saturday and begin tapering off Saturday evening.

Snowfall should range from 3 to 6 inches. Blowing and drifting snow may occur during the day Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for northwestern Ohio from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. A winter weather warning for southeastern Michigan is effective from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A winter weather advisory is normally issued for a variety of winter weather conditions such as light snow, blowing snow, sleet, freezing rain and wind chills.

A winter storm warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous.
