TIFFIN - First Merit Bank on West Market Street was robbed Tuesday morning by a man who presented the teller with a note but showed no weapon.
According to Tiffin police, the robber entered the bank about 10:30 a.m., handed the teller a note demanding cash, then fled with an undetermined amount of money. He was last seen walking west along the south side of West Market Street.
The robber is described as a white male, 30 to 35 years old, about 5-foot, 7 inches, and 160 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a light blue nylon pullover. Witnesses said he had an acne-scarred complexion.
