Maumee judge to head state technology panel

Maumee Municipal Judge Gary Byers has been appointed chairman of the Supreme Court of Ohio s Commission on Technology and the Courts, the high court has announced.

Established in 2007, the commission advises the Supreme Court on statewide technology issues, including the delivery of technology services to courts, the exchange of data between courts and justice system partners via the Ohio Courts Network, and the technology-related education and training provided for judges and court personnel, a release states.

The commission s 22 members serve three-year terms.
