Beginning today through June 8, Toledo citizens can choose the size cart they want to be used for automated trash and recycling pickup at their homes.
The city Division of Solid Waste said if citizens don't make a selection, they will automatically be given two 96-gallon carts, gray for refuse and blue for recycling. The city has recommended the 96-gallon size.
Those who want a smaller cart - 48 or 64 gallons - can make a selection at one of five locations, or online at the city's Web site, www.toledo.oh.gov.
The locations are:
•The Andersons, Monroe Street and Talmadge Road.
•Toledo Food Center, 303 Main St.
•Sunoco Foodmart, 4810 Suder Ave.
•Wal-Mart, 2925 Glendale Ave.
•Save A Lot, in Swayne Field shopping center.
Those who don't want to participate in recycling should contact the division of Solid Waste to ensure that no recycling cart is delivered to their home.
