FINDLAY - A Fostoria woman was killed when her sport utility vehicle overturned after it was struck by a car in Hancock County's Allen Township.
Peggy S. Harden, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers at the Findlay post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said a car driven by Nancy L. Smith, 70, of North Baltimore, Ohio, was northbound on Township Road 230 about 1:50 p.m. when she stopped at the stop sign at Township Road 215, but then did not yield for Ms. Harden's SUV, which was westbound on Township Road 215. After the SUV overturned, it slid to a stop on its roof.
Paramedics treated Ms. Smith at the scene for minor injuries. Both women wore seat belts, troopers said.
The crash was under investigation last night.
