Toledo man gets 7 years in B.G. home invasion

BOWLING GREEN A Toledo man who broke into a Fairview Avenue apartment and robbed the occupant was sentenced yesterday to seven years in prison.

Kywon Holcomb, 20, pleaded guilty in March in Wood County Common Pleas Court to aggravated burglary, kidnapping, and theft stemming from a Sept. 17 burglary in Bowling Green. Judge Robert Pollex sentenced him and scheduled a jury trial Oct. 14 for a co-defendant, Justin Quinn, 19, of Toledo.

The pair allegedly broke into Robert J. Matejka s apartment, threatened and assaulted him, and stole a laptop computer, a desktop computer, a monitor, and a BlackBerry cell phone. One of the intruders claimed to have a gun and the other put his hand over the victim s mouth and said he had a knife.
