Swanton man indicted for robbery

WAUSEON A Fulton County grand jury has indicted a Swanton man who allegedly robbed a carryout Friday and led authorities on a chase into Lucas County.

Brian K. Torok, 42, was indicted on one count each of robbery, safecracking, and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

Deputies were investigating the robbery at Heaven s Carryout, 10717 Fulton County Rd. 4, at about 6:20 p.m. when a pickup matching the description given by the cashier was spotted and refused to stop.

An 18-minute chase into Lucas County ensued and Mr. Torok was apprehended in Toledo. He is in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio without bond.
