A Sylvania man was killed Friday morning when his motorcycle was involved in a three-vehicle crash in West Toledo.
Willard Rodgers, 73, of 5951 Summit St., was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Monroe Street east of Secor Road. He was not wearing a helmet.
The crash occurred just after 6 a.m. when a car being driven westbound on Monroe by Jamie Sieminski, 34, of West Toledo was in the left turn lane waiting to turn into a gas station and his vehicle was rear-ended, sending it into the eastbound lane of Monroe and into the path of the motorcycle.
The sport utility vehicle that struck Mr. Sieminksi s car was driven by Leigha Bishop, 22, of South Toledo. She was taken to Toledo Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
