Boy struck by car outside Oregon middle school

An 11-year-old-boy was struck by a vehicle about 8:15 a.m. Friday near Fassett Middle School, 3025 Starr Ave, in Oregon, authorities said.
Zachary Nowicki, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, according to Oregon police. He was in the emergency room as of about noon, a hospital spokesman said.
Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.
