Trustees suspend Waterville Twp. police chief

Waterville Township Police Chief Kathleen Hartle was suspended with pay from duty Wednesday until an allegation that she had an open container of alcohol in her patrol car late last month can be investigated.

The township trustees took their action after an hour-long closed session at their regular meeting Wednesday evening.

The suspension will last at least until the next regular trustees meeting, scheduled for Sept. 23.
