Verizon Wireless, which bought Alltel in January, said yesterday it has finished converting the Toledo area's six former Alltel stores to its own brand. It also completed billing conversion for the area.
The Basking Ridge, N.J.- based wireless carrier said it is integrating its network with Alltel's by rehoming its cell tower sites to the Verizon network and upgrading Alltel's network. It expects to complete the conversion within two years.
