The city of Toledo will begin collecting leaves Monday.
The pickup program will begin a week later this year compared to previous years because of a late leaf drop this fall, city officials said.
It will conclude in mid-December, weather permitting.
The collection will begin in both curbed and uncurbed streets of ZIP codes 43613 and 43623. Media alerts and signs will announce leaf collection in other neighborhoods.
The collection is for loose leaves only and the city will not pick up brush, sticks, or bags of leaves.
Upon the conclusion of the program, remaining leaves can be bagged and placed out for refuse collection. Leaves also can be recycled at Clean Wood Recycling, 6505 West Bancroft St. or 5330 Stickney Ave.
