Grant to help rebuild Adrian's Bent Oak Avenue

ADRIAN — A $357,000 grant will pay most of the cost for rebuilding part of Bent Oak Avenue, the Michigan Department of Transportation announced.

The Small Urban Program grant, to be matched by $72,000 in local funds, will pay for rebuilding 0.44 miles of Bent Oak between Riverside Avenue and the city limits.

The federal transportation funding is administered by the state.

The package also includes $10,000 to Lenawee Transit and $8,000 to Adrian Dial-A-Ride, both for new bus tires.
