TARTA bus to collect items for area food bank
The Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank will be collecting food items in a TARTA bus as part of the agency's Scouting for Food campaign to help feed families during the holidays.
The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority bus will be parked from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the National City Bank in Westgate Village Shopping Center, 3205 Secor Rd.
The annual food drive will run through the holidays.
The food bank, a nonprofit organization, has distributed more than 70 million pounds of food and grocery products over the past 25 years.
The organization serves a network of more than 300 member agencies Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and Williams counties.
