Couple hurt, dog killed in collision on U.S. 23
FOSTORIA — A South Carolina couple was injured and their small dog killed in a two-car crash on U.S. 23 just south of Fostoria on Monday night.
Ronald Nelson, 67, and his wife, Audrey Nelson, 59, were transferred from Fostoria Community Hospital to Toledo Hospital, where both were in stable condition yesterday.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, Mr. Nelson was southbound on U.S. 23 about 5:20 p.m. Monday when a northbound car driven by Andrew Roberts, 24, of Fostoria lost control, crossed the center line, and collided with the Nelson vehicle.
Mr. Roberts, who was treated at Fostoria Community Hospital, was cited for violating lanes of travel on roadways.
