2 men seen running after fatal shooting are sought

Lucas County Sheriff's deputies are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program on the whereabouts of two men seen running from a Springfield Township apartment where a man was shot and killed, authorities said.

The victim, Joseph Linares, 21, was shot Jan. 9 while responding to a knock on his door at Lake of the Woods Apartments. He died less than an hour later at the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio.

Investigators released a sketch of one of the suspects. Both are described as about 6 feet, 4 inches tall, Detective Phil Williams said.

Anyone with information on

the suspects' identities and whereabouts is asked to contact the Crime Stopper program.

Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
