$250,000 is invested in Toledo infant specialty firm

A suburban Toledo firm preparing to sell specialized infant and children's pacifiers and other oral health products has been awarded a $250,000 investment from Rocket Ventures, the public-private venture capital fund that is part of the Regional Growth Partnership.

Branam Oral Health Technologies Inc. of Oregon plans to market its pacifier through dentists and pediatricians, and will roll out a line of tooth gels, toothpastes, and other oral hygiene products designed to reduce tooth decay. The firm had earlier won a $50,000 grant from Rocket Ventures to assist in its start-up costs.
