Northwood start-up to benefit from grant

Wood County has been awarded a $427,300 Community Development Block Grant to help a Northwood manufacturing start-up develop cold-formed steel parts for automotive and other manufacturers.

The $2 million project by American Cold Forge LLC will include the purchase of an 11,850-square-foot building, machinery, and equipment. It is expected to result in 22 full-time jobs.
