6 fire departments respond to Rossford blaze

Firefighters from six departments were on the scene Tuesday night of an apparent cardboard box fire at an industrial site in Rossford.

The fire was first reported as boxes burning in a back room just before 9 p.m. at Electro Prime Group, 66 North Dixie Hwy., authorities said.

Besides Rossford, also called to respond were Northwood, Perrysburg Township, Lake Township, and Toledo fire departments. About 10:15 p.m., the hovercraft belonging to Lucas County's Washington Township department was called upon to supply ventilation.

No injuries were reported.

By 10:35 p.m., Toledo firefighters were released from the scene.

Electro Prime Group is an automotive supplier with a coatings plant in Rossford.
