Walbridge driver faces vehicular assault counts

BOWLING GREEN — A Walbridge man has been indicted by a Wood County grand jury on two counts of aggravated vehicular assault stemming from a traffic crash that injured a Perrysburg woman.

Nicholas Deiter, 25, is to be arraigned March 29 by Wood County Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey.

Mr. Deiter was southbound on Oregon Road near State Rt. 795 on Feb. 19 when his pickup truck allegedly struck a southbound car in front of him driven by Stephanie Husen, 56, of Perrysburg, pushing her car into a northbound cement truck.

The charges, both third-degree felonies, allege Mr. Deiter was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash.
