MONROE - Multiple lanes will be closed on southbound I-75 through Monroe this weekend while a Michigan Department of Transportation contractor begins setting up traffic patterns for upcoming construction.
Tomorrow the southbound right and center lane will close at 9 p.m. between Sandy Creek Road and the LaPlaisance Road interchange for barrier positioning.
The center lane will reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday, but the left lane will remain closed into August, and the center lane will be closed again at night, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., for the following two weeks.
Additional lane closings on I-75 throughout Monroe County will begin on Monday for a pavement patching and bridge rehabilitation project.
