4 Tiffin teens injured in crash
TIFFIN - Four Tiffin teenagers were hurt, one seriously, when their car went out of control on a curve yesterday and struck a ditch in Seneca County's Clinton Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
Alesha D. VanBeveren, 16, was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. Her condition was not available last night, but she was in the pediatric intensive care unit.
Alesha was driving southwest on State Rt. 101, toward Tiffin, when her car went off the road on a curve south of County Road 15 about 5:20 p.m.
Back-seat passengers Lacey D. Aaron, 17, and Janae M. Perkins, 16, were not wearing seat belts and were thrown from the car. Front-seat passenger Jabrencia B. Cobb, 17, did wear a seat belt. All were treated at Mercy Tiffin Hospital. Alesha was wearing a seat belt.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, troopers said.
